A vibrant secondary school in Eastbourne is seeking a Performing Arts Technician to support its drama theatre and performing arts provision.
The successful candidate will play an important role in preparing spaces and equipment for lessons rehearsals productions and performances.
Prepare drama studios and performance spaces.
Set up lighting and sound equipment.
Assist with rehearsals and productions.
Operate technical equipment during performances.
Maintain microphones speakers lighting and related equipment.
Assist with stage and set preparation.
Carry out routine equipment checks.
Ensure technical equipment is stored safely.
Support school events and performances.
Follow all relevant health and safety procedures.
Previous experience in theatre performing arts live events or technical production.
Practical knowledge of sound and lighting equipment.
Good organisational skills.
Ability to remain calm during live performances.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively with young people.
Creative and practical approach to problem solving.
