A secondary school in Brighton is seeking a Performing Arts Technician to support its music drama and performance programmes.
The successful candidate will provide practical and technical support for lessons rehearsals concerts productions and other school events.
Prepare performance and rehearsal spaces.
Set up and operate sound lighting staging and audiovisual equipment.
Support teachers during practical performing arts lessons.
Assist with school productions and live performances.
Maintain and safely store technical equipment.
Carry out routine equipment checks.
Assist with props staging furniture and production resources.
Troubleshoot basic technical issues.
Maintain an inventory of performing arts equipment.
Ensure performance areas remain safe and organised.
Previous theatre events performing arts music or technical experience.
Practical knowledge of sound lighting staging or audiovisual equipment.
Good organisational skills.
Ability to remain calm during performances and events.
Strong attention to detail.
Flexible and reliable approach.
Relevant technical qualifications would be beneficial.
