A vibrant secondary school in Bath is seeking a Performing Arts Technician to support its drama and performing arts departments.
The successful candidate will assist with lessons rehearsals productions performances and the preparation and maintenance of specialist technical equipment.
Prepare drama studios stages and performance areas.
Set up lighting sound microphones and technical equipment.
Support staff and pupils during rehearsals.
Assist with school productions and performances.
Operate technical equipment during events where required.
Carry out routine checks and basic maintenance.
Ensure equipment is stored securely and correctly.
Assist with set preparation and room changes.
Maintain an organised inventory of technical resources.
Follow relevant health and safety procedures.
Previous experience in theatre performing arts events or technical production.
Good understanding of sound and lighting equipment.
Practical and creative approach to problem solving.
Ability to work calmly during live performances.
Strong organisational skills.
Comfortable working with pupils and teaching staff.
School experience would be advantageous.
