Passenger Fleet Supervisor
Job Summary
- Oversee daily management of the Passenger Fleet Service.
- Ensure adequate resources are available to meet operational needs.
- Aid in planning and optimizing transport routes.
- Monitor contractor performance and adherence to service standards.
- Conduct compliance audits and service evaluations.
- Identify and implement efficiency improvements and cost reductions.
- Support transport booking and scheduling activities.
- Ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements and transport protocols.
- Ensure fleet vehicles are safe roadworthy and meet legal standards.
- Oversee vehicle inspections maintenance and MOT compliance.
- Ensure vehicles meet:
- Public Service Vehicle standards
- Transport legislation
- LEZ requirements
- Wheelchair accessibility regulations
- LOLER standards for tail lifts
- Public Service Vehicle standards
- Maintain vehicle safety equipment and compliance records.
- Monitor driver license checks and vehicle compliance.
- Supervise:
- Driver Team Leader
- Drivers
- Passenger Escorts
- Driver Team Leader
- Assist with recruitment training and performance management.
- Support attendance management and workforce planning.
- Promote high standards of conduct and customer service.
- Address performance and operational issues.
- Monitor transport budgets and expenditures.
- Assist with processing financial transactions and purchase orders.
- Generate operational financial and performance reports.
- Support service reviews and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Track transport performance against KPIs and service targets.
- Investigate complaints incidents and service inquiries.

- Maintain positive relationships with customers and stakeholders.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
- Maintain accurate records of fleet routes and operations.
- Prepare meeting minutes reports letters and correspondence.
- Utilize transport and fleet management systems effectively.
- Assist with monthly operational and financial reporting.
- Experience in Passenger Transport Fleet Operations Transport Coordination or Transport Management.
- Proven ability to supervise staff and manage transport activities.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Passenger Transport Supervisor Certificate (or equivalent).
- Experience in a Local Authority Passenger Transport Service.
- Knowledge of:

- Working Time Regulations
- Experience conducting transport contract compliance audits.
- Work between 06:30 and 19:00 Monday to Friday as required.
- Work split shifts when necessary.
- Participate in standby cover arrangements.
- Travel between Oakleigh Depot and North London Business Park.
- 27.35 per hour (Umbrella)

Required Skills:
Essential Requirements Experience within Passenger Transport Fleet Operations Transport Coordination or Transport Management. Experience supervising operational staff and managing day-to-day transport activities. Knowledge of: Passenger Transport Services Fleet Management Transport Compliance Driver Management Health & Safety Requirements Experience monitoring contractor performance and service delivery. Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills. Experience investigating incidents and handling complaints. Good understanding of transport legislation and operational requirements. Excellent administration and reporting skills. Strong IT skills including Microsoft Word Excel and email systems. Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities. Desirable Requirements Passenger Transport Supervisor Certificate (or equivalent). Experience working within a Local Authority Passenger Transport Service. Knowledge of: Working Time Regulations Private Hire Regulations Fleet Management Systems Chevin Fleet Management System Mission IT Passenger Transport System Experience undertaking transport contract compliance audits. Working Hours & Flexibility The successful candidate must be able to: Work between 06:30 and 19:00 Monday to Friday as service requirements dictate. Work split shifts where required.
