Passenger Assist
Job Summary
- Assist children and young people during their transport to and from educational settings.
- Ensure the safety welfare and comfort of passengers at all times.
- Offer reassurance and assistance to students with SEND.
- Collaborate with drivers schools parents and transport teams.
- Foster a calm safe and positive travel environment.
- Help students board and exit vehicles safely.
- Adhere to safeguarding and health & safety procedures.
- Provide cover for absent Passenger Assistants as needed.
- Report any concerns or incidents according to procedures.
- Morning Routes: Approximately 7:00am 9:30am
- Afternoon Routes: Approximately 2:30pm 5:15pm
- Genuine interest in supporting children and young people with SEND.
- Availability for both morning and afternoon routes Monday to Friday.
- Flexibility to adapt to varying route requirements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable patient and caring demeanor.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities.
- Enhanced DBS Check including the Childrens Barred List.
- Must reside within Plymouth City boundaries or be able to travel independently to a designated vehicle pick-up point within Plymouth.
- Availability during term time working patterns.

Required Skills:
