Part-time Kitchen Assistant ( Term Time only)
Job Summary
We are currently seeking a part-time Kitchen Assistant who will support the day-to-day operation of the central kitchen preparing and cooking food to high standards. The job also supports all food preparation for hospitality and events (This is a part-time role 25 hours per week term time only)
About the Role
Working with the Head Chef and kitchen team you will help deliver excellent food and customer service while maintaining high standards of food safety presentation and hygiene. You will support stock control food preparation menu development and HACCP compliance while helping to minimise waste and maintain a clean safe kitchen environment. This is a varied hands-on role that requires flexibility teamwork and a commitment to delivering an outstanding catering experience across our hospitality addition you will assist in the planning and delivery of events such as graduation open days weddings summer schools and conferences
About You
- Food safety Qualification
- Experience of food prep knowledge of allergens and special diets
- Excellent Customer service skills
- Commercial Kitchen experience
- Teamwork & working under pressure evidence

Additional Information
Grade 3 - Starting from 16343 rising to 16434 per annum pro rata 25949 - 26093
The salary range shows the potential maximum pay progression in addition to any annual inflationary increase to your pay. Please note that our default position is to appoint into the lower end of the range unless there are exceptional circumstances.

Due to operational requirements some flexibility of working hours will be required in order to meet business needs. The department can be open 7 days a week and post holders will be required to work on a 5 out of 7 rotating pattern. Covering early mornings evenings & weekends. Advanced notice will be provided.
