Job Description
Were looking for two General Theatre Technicians to join our Flex Team on an hours-as-required basis. This role offers flexibility with shifts allocated in line with business needs rather than fixed weekly hours. Due to the nature of our live entertainment programme were looking for individuals with excellent all-round availability who can support the team across days evenings weekends and bank holidays. The greater your availability the more opportunities there are to work.
As a General Theatre Technician youll play a key role in delivering our outstanding programme of live entertainment and events. Working as part of a dedicated Technical Team youll support the smooth running of performances functions and resort events ensuring every production is delivered to the highest standard.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Operating shows as directed by the Show Director and Technical Manager.
- Programming and operating Avolites lighting consoles.
- Operating digital audio systems (experience with DiGiCo and/or Allen & Heath consoles is advantageous).
- Using QLab timecode and Hippo Media Server systems.
- Supporting the technical delivery of Potters Theatre Company evening shows.
- Setting up and operating technical equipment across various venues around the resort for shows functions and special events.
- Providing technical support for resort events during both daytime and evening operations.
- Assisting with the loading unloading and movement of technical equipment.
- Working calmly under pressure and making considered decisions in a fast-paced live environment.
- Continuously developing your skills across lighting sound vision and stage technology.
Hours: Flex role hours offered in line with business needs. Flexibility to work days evenings weekends and bank holidays is required.
Pay: 13.28 per hour
Qualifications :
Proven experience of working within a similar role including:
- Experience of operating lighting sound and video equipment.
- Organised efficient and proactive.
- Good understanding of working safely within a Theatre/stage environment.
- Basic bench work skills including soldering (beneficial but not essential).
