About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Drama Teacher to join the team on a part-time basis working 3 days a week. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality engaging Drama lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE). You will inspire students to develop their confidence performance skills and appreciation for the theatrical arts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan prepare and deliver creative and inclusive Drama lessons that cater to a range of learning abilities.

  • Prepare Key Stage 4 students thoroughly for their practical and written GCSE examinations.

  • Maintain a positive energetic and safe classroom environment that encourages student participation.

  • Assess and monitor student progress providing constructive feedback to support their development.

  • Collaborate with the wider Creative Arts team to contribute to extracurricular performances or school productions.

Requirements
  • Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognized teaching qualification is highly desirable. Experienced instructors or exceptional Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are also welcome to apply.

  • Experience: A proven track record of teaching Drama at the secondary school level (KS3/KS4).

  • Skills: Strong classroom management skills excellent communication and a genuine passion for the performing arts.

  • Compliance: Must hold or be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
