Job Summary
TPF Recruitment Kents leading accountancy practice recruitment agency is exclusively recruiting for a Part Time Accounts & Tax Manager to join a highly regarded firm of chartered accountants in Maidstone.
This successful and growing practice supports a diverse client base across a wide range of industries delivering services including accounts tax bookkeeping payroll VAT and management accounts alongside more specialist advisory work.
As a Part Time Accounts & Tax Manager you will take on a varied and hands on role managing your own portfolio while supporting and developing the wider team. You will play a key part in both compliance and advisory work with the opportunity to add real value to your clients.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing a varied portfolio of SME and owner managed business clients
- Reviewing statutory accounts and tax work prepared by junior staff
- Remaining hands on across accounts and tax where required
- Acting as the main point of contact for your clients
- Identifying advisory opportunities and supporting client growth
- Mentoring supervising and developing junior team members
- Contributing to business development and gradually building your own fee base

- You will have a career background in accountancy practice preparing a mix of accounts tax management accounts bookkeeping and VAT services for a variation of clients to include limited companies partnerships and sole traders.
- You will have at least 3 - 5 years experience or more ideally gained within accountancy practice and be looking to further your career.
- You will be ACCA/ACA qualified or have developed your career through experience only.
Required Skills:
Preferably qualified ACA/ACCA or by experience. 5-10 years experience within an accountancy practice experience. Experience preparing accounts and tax returns. Experience of QuickBooks Xero or Sage would be advantageous.
