What Youll Do

• Conduct legal research and analysis related to payment industry compliance data privacy and consumer protection laws - all crucial aspects of Modulrs operations.

• Assist in reviewing drafting and negotiating a variety of contracts including those directly linked to our core services like merchant agreements processing agreements and vendor contracts.

• Execute BAU privacy compliance processes including end-to-end management of DSRs reviewing and advising on DPIAs and maintaining and updating associated documentation.

• Manage commercial litigation with support from in-house and external counsel securing and reporting on progress against defined budgets and objectives

• Identify and drive process improvements taking the lead on projects through to implementation.

• Use enhance and develop AI supported workflows for recurring tasks.

• Work in a highly dynamic environment focusing on execution and ensuring plans come to fruition.

• Consistently build strong relationships with stakeholders

Who You Are

What youll need

• Bachelors or postgraduate degree in legal studies Law or a related field - Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience

• minimum of 1 year of experience as a paralegal privacy or regulatory compliance professional preferably in a technology or financial services setting.

• Proficiency in data privacy laws such as GDPR

• Excellent organisational research and analytical skills

Nice to haves

• Experience in the payments industry similar to Modulrs core operations

• Familiarity with payment processing systems and platforms

• Knowledge of international payment regulations considering Modulrs wide operational landscape

• Familiarity with safe use of AI in sensitive processes
