Our Legal Delivery Centre (LDC) is a flexible and scalable paralegalteam who supportallour UKIrelandand Middle East offices across the full spectrum of legal services. Dentons is embracing the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) route to qualification. Not only can your work experience count towards Qualifying Work Experience (QWE) but for suitable internal applicants we are also offering a unique opportunity for development including financial sponsorship through an enhanced2 yearprogrammewhich isdesigned to provide the business with a pipeline of quality talent whilst ensuring that the experience and training gained by the paralegal is comparable to the more typical training contract note theQualiFLYprogramme is a separate process to this job application.

In the LDC we are keen to continuouslyinnovateand youwill use legal technology and AI tools to support delivery improveconsistencyand reduce manual processes. We are therefore looking for someone curious about new ways of working comfortable learningnew technology and interested in how AI can be used responsibly to enhance legal service delivery.

This role is well suited to someone looking to build strong legal experience within an innovative delivery environment working alongside experienced lawyers with structured training and development.

We are presently looking for a bright enthusiasticand experienced employmentparalegal to join ourLDC team with a focus on supporting our firmsalternative legal delivery team Dentons Helix.

The LDCis a focused resource supportingthe DentonsHelixteam acrossall ofour UKIrelandand Middle East offices with the full breadth of their time to time there will be the opportunity to undertake work across the full spectrum of legal service areas. An opportunity to liaise with all business areas the LDC offers extensive exposure across the firm and to some of the firms major clients.

Whilst this is a virtual role with no expectation or requirement that you attend any of our office locations other than for business criticalor wellbeingneeds for those who would like to experience the office environment and meet our hybrid teams there is the opportunity to attend ourUKoffices - London Milton Keynes Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Responsibilities

You will work as part of a team to deliver afirst classservice to our types of claims include unfair dismissal redundancy discrimination and newly established ways of working including an increased emphasis on technological solutions. Our approach is to create a supportive environment by working collaboratively as part of a team whilst also encouraging team members tooperatewith a degree of independence.

It is essential that candidates are team players and committed to developing personally and professionally. A determination to deliver high-quality focused services to our clients is essential as ismaintainingand developing client relationships.

The successful candidate will be someone with energy and enthusiasm working hard to provide the highest levels of service whilst at the sametime valuinghaving fun being part of a supportive and collegiate team.

Required experience skills and attributes

  • Minimum 1 years employment law experience preferably within private practice.
  • Demonstratable experience supporting Employment Tribunal litigation on the respondent/employer side. Claimant-only experience will not be suitable.

  • Practical experience supportingEmployment Tribunal claims frominitialinstruction through to hearing with a good understanding of employment litigation processes and procedures.

  • Strong working knowledge of employment claims includingunfair and wrongful dismissal redundancywhistleblowingand discrimination.

  • Experience supporting key stages of litigation includingPreliminary/Case Management Hearings disclosure Judicial Mediation Final Hearings and Remedy Hearings.

  • Strong experience inEmployment Tribunal bundle preparationdisclosureand document management.

  • Ability to draft review and amend legal documents includingwitness statements Tribunal submissions employmentcontractsand settlement agreements.

  • Experience communicating withEmployment Tribunalsand liaising withCounsel including obtaining availability and fees booking Counsel preparinginstructionsand coordinating hearing papers.

  • Excellentorganisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple matters prioritise competing deadlines and work effectively under pressure whilemaintainingaccuracy and attention to detail.

  • StrongMicrosoft Office skills particularly WordExceland Outlook.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with confidence liaising withFee Earners Partners clients Counsel and Tribunals.

  • Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to take ownership of tasks use initiative and progress matters independently while knowing when to seek guidance.

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while managingallocatedmatters independently.

  • Flexibleadaptableand client-focused with a commitment to providing a responsiveefficientand high-quality service.

  • A strong academic record including adegree or equivalent is preferred.
