Our client is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapists to join their therapy teamon an ongoing locum basis from September.

The service is a specialist day and residential academy for children and young people aged 8-19 years with moderate to severe learning difficulties Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) speech and language needs and additional complex needs. Set within an extensive campus in Kent the school offers a highly supportive multidisciplinary environment focused on helping pupils achieve their full potential and develop essential life skills.

This is an exciting opportunity for Occupational Therapists looking to make a meaningful impact within a specialist educational setting working alongside teachers speech and language therapists support staff and healthcare professionals to provide integrated pupil-centred care.

• Provide high-quality occupational therapy assessments and interventions for pupils with a range of additional needs.
• Support pupils to develop functional skills independence sensory regulation and access to learning.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and the wider multidisciplinary team to embed therapeutic strategies across the school environment.
• Contribute to Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) outcomes and annual reviews.
• Deliver both direct and indirect interventions tailored to individual pupil needs.
• Provide advice guidance and training to school staff and families where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure best practice standards are met.

• HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
• Previous experience working with children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or learning disabilities.
• Understanding of sensory integration principles and occupation-focused practice.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication organisational and report-writing skills.
• Experience within educational or specialist SEN settings is desirable but not essential.
