Working Hours: Full-time or Part-time

We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Paediatric Dysphagia Speech and Language Therapist to join a specialist service in Frimley. This is an exciting locum opportunity for an experienced Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist with expertise in paediatric dysphagia assessment and management.

In this role you will work with children and young people presenting with a range of speech language communication and feeding/swallowing difficulties. You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality evidence-based interventions supporting children and their families to achieve the best possible outcomes.

In this role you will:

Assess diagnose and manage paediatric dysphagia and feeding difficulties in line with professional guidelines and competencies.
Provide specialist speech and language therapy assessment and intervention for children with communication and swallowing needs.
Develop and implement individualised treatment plans tailored to each childs needs.
Work collaboratively with families carers education staff and multidisciplinary teams to support effective care planning.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in accordance with HCPC and local service standards.
Contribute to case discussions reviews and multidisciplinary team meetings.
Provide advice training and support to parents carers and other professionals where appropriate.

To be considered for this role you must have:

A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).
Current HCPC registration.
Membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).
Previous experience working as a Speech and Language Therapist within paediatric services.
Demonstrable experience and competency in the assessment and management of paediatric dysphagia.
Excellent communication organisational and interpersonal skills.
The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
