Job Summary

TPF Recruitment are partnering with a reputable and modern accountancy practice in Southampton Hampshire to recruit an experienced Outsourcing / Management Accounts Senior. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing firm that supports a wide range of SME and corporate clients with their day-to-day finance function.

The role sits within the firms outsourcing division and is ideal for a proactive and commercially minded accounting professional who enjoys working closely with clients. Youll be responsible for delivering timely and accurate management accounts cloud bookkeeping services support while also contributing to process improvements and mentoring junior staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts for a varied portfolio of clients
Managing bookkeeping duties and maintaining accurate records using cloud software (Xero QuickBooks Sage)
Handling VAT returns balance sheet reconciliations and bank reconciliations
Supporting clients with cash flow forecasting budgeting and KPI reporting
Acting as the main point of contact for clients on day-to-day finance matters
Overseeing and reviewing work completed by junior team members offering training and guidance where needed
Collaborating with the wider team to improve internal systems and client reporting efficiencies

Requirements

A minimum of 3 years experience in a UK accountancy practice
ACA or ACCA qualified would be an advantage
AAT qualified and qualified by experience will be considered for candidates with circa 5 years relevant practice experience
Strong experience preparing management accounts and VAT returns
Proficient in cloud accounting systems (especially Xero and/or QuickBooks)
Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage client relationships confidently
Comfortable working in a fast-paced client-driven environment

Benefits

40000 - 46000 per annum depending on experience

Required Skills:

For this fantastic opportunity you may be an AAT studying and/or perhaps studying ACCA or looking to build further on your experience following qualifying AAT with a background in accountancy practice with at least 2 - 4 years or more experience within practice preparing accounts tax and other responsibilities for a mixed client base of sole traders partnerships and limited companies. You will be looking for a challenging long term career move at Accounts Semi Senior level within a genuinely growing and expanding firm of chartered accountants offering progression and career development.
