Reports to: Head of Audiologist

Location: Mobile across Hampshire practices
Contract Type: Full-time Permanent
Salary: 26500 - 29000 plus Incentive scheme

My client is looking for a mobile Dispensing Assistant; this role is ideal for someone who has ambitions to progress into a Hearing Care Assistant. They are looking for someone who they can sponsor throughout their training.

Role Purpose To provide outstanding customer service across both the optical and hearing care departments. The role involves assisting patients throughout their customer journey supporting the dispensing of optical products performing wax removal through microsuction and hearing care advice across multiple clinic sites in Hampshire. You will use strong communication and interpersonal skills to support patients throughout their journey while being adaptable proactive and open to innovative ways of working. Above all you will demonstrate a genuine passion for delivering excellent patient care and continuously improving service quality.

Key Responsibilities
Optical Care
Assist patients with frame selection and lens recommendations
Participate in the Optometrist handover process and take accurate dispensing measurements
Process monitor and check spectacle orders including focimetry
Carry out spectacle fittings adjustments and minor repairs
Maintain accurate patient records and process payments
Support Optical Assistants with pre-screening and administrative tasks
Ensure compliance with GDPR and company procedures.

Hearing Care
Support the hearing care patient journey and clinic administration
Perform ear wax removal within training competency and regulatory guidelines
Maintain accurate clinical records consent forms and referrals
Assist with hearing aid fittings troubleshooting and basic repairs
Identify opportunities to refer patients to the Audiologist
Maintain equipment stock levels and clinical cleanliness standards. Requirements
HCPC registration or want to train towards qualification.

Requirements:
Full UK driving licence and access to reliable car
Ability to travel across Hampshire branches.

Qualifications and Experience:
Previous spectacle dispensing experience is essential
HCA qualification (or willingness to undertake training)
GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)
Microsuction experience beneficial
Tympanometry experience beneficial.
