Operations Executive COO & CASS Oversight
Job Summary
What will you be doing
We are looking for a talented individual to join us as an Operations Executive - COO & CASS Oversight in Glasgow or your role you will perform daily duties associated with the COO & CASS Oversight function ensuring work is completed accurately and on time while adhering to all controls regulatory guidelines and procedures relevant to team functions.
This is a varied role offering a really good overview of Operations and exposure to senior stakeholders and the leadership team.
As an Operations Executive - COO & CASS Oversight your responsibilities will include among others
- COO error tracking ensuring all actions are completed in a timely manner and the risk event system is updated appropriately with any profit / loss information.
- Assist in the coordination of audits (both internal and external eg. AAF IT) and the tracking of associated actions.
- Assist with COO error investigation and tracking of any actions to prevent future reoccurrence.
- Assist with COO complaint investigation and tracking of any actions to prevent future reoccurrence.
- Assist with user access reviews ensuring all colleagues across COO have an appropriate level of access to internal systems as well as the external custodial platforms.
- Assist with operational losses allocation and reconciliation.
Qualifications :
To be successful in this role you should
- Demonstrable interest in financial services and in particular investment management.
- Responding to queries from both internal and external parties in a timely manner and providing a high level of customer service both internally and externally.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages: Minimum basic level Word and intermediate level Excel.
- Strong Interpersonal skills are essential with the ability to communicate well both written and verbally to senior audiences.
- Demonstrate ability to understand and summarise complex information in a professional and concise manner and solve problems quickly with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to organise workloads effectively and meet tight deadlines with a flexible approach to team priorities.
Desired
- Experience gained within a financial services institution especially in Operations is advantageous but not essential.
- Relevant professional qualifications e.g. CISI Investment Operations Certificate desirable but not essential.
