Job Description
As the Operations Commercial Finance Director you will play a pivotal role in shaping our financial strategy and driving business performance across our Retail Logistics Real Estate and Procurement sectors.
What youll be doing
This high-profile position is integral to both the Boots UK Finance and Operations Leadership Team. You will lead a team of finance professionals acting as an independent advisor and business partner to the Chief Operating Officer. Your focus will be on driving insight-led decision-making optimising profitability and ensuring robust financial governance across all commercial activities. With full P&L responsibility you will influence change and impact the next wave of delivery for the Boots Group.
Key Responsibilities
Define the strategy and implement the Commercial Finance partnering model for the dynamic Operations area maximising value while collaborating with C-Suite and senior leaders to deliver transformative capabilities and results.
Ensure timely delivery of data analysis and information to support and influence decision-making processes.
Lead strategic planning budgeting forecasting and monthly performance reporting across all supported areas.
Provide analysis and support to ensure the success of major new product initiatives projects and strategic investments.
Implement Group financial strategies policies and processes ensuring compliance with corporate standards.
What youll need to have
A qualified accountant (CIMA) with at least 10 years of post-qualification experience.
Previous Finance Director-level experience in large complex multi-site organisations.
Proven track record in finance partnering at senior executive levels with a focus on driving change and delivering results.
Excellent communication skills capable of building strong relationships across all business functions.
Strong analytical skills and a commercial mindset with the ability to see the bigger picture.
Experience in consulting with a wide range of stakeholders at various levels.
It would be great if you also have
A background in leading diverse finance teams and driving transformation initiatives.
Familiarity with international operations although this is not a necessity.
