As our Operational Finance Assistant you wont just be pushing buttons. Youll be the critical link between our procurement team and our financial reporting acting as the U-bend that catches discrepancies before they become a problem!
Your Key Responsibilities:
Master the Flow (P2P): Oversee the full Purchase-to-Pay lifecycle. From validating multi-currency invoices to ensuring VAT is handled with precision youll keep our ledgers sparkling.
Smooth Payment Streams: Execute payment runs (BACS/CHAPS) that keep our vendors happy and our cash flow steady.
Fix the Leaks: Investigate and resolve intricate invoice discrepancies. Youll dive deep into the supply chain to find the root cause of any drips or drops in data.
Month-End: Support the Management Accountant with accruals prepayments and variance analysis. Youll help ensure our month-end reports are as polished as a chrome tap.
System Upgrades: Work with the Senior AP to identify bottlenecks in our ERP system implementing automated workflows that make the department run like a well-oiled whirlpool.
Were looking for someone with commercial acumen who looks beyond the spreadsheet. You understand that behind every invoice is a pallet of tiles or a fleet of delivery drivers.
The Essentials:
Experience: Youve spent time in a fast-paced Finance environment (Accounts Payable or Operational Finance).
Precision: You have an uncompromising approach to accuracy. You spot an incorrect VAT code from across the room.
Communication: Youre a people person who can chat with budget holders and vendors alike maintaining great relationships even when things get steamy.
