Oncology Pharmacist Pharmacy Full Time Permanent Southampton
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Oncology Pharmacist to join the pharmacy team on a full time permanent basis.

Duties and responsibilities
- Assess thehealthandwell-beingof patients whose needsmaybecomplex and changing within thecontextoftheirmedicines.
- Diagnose monitorprescribe and safeguard medicines accordingto independent practice and competency.
- Planmonitorandevaluatethemovementofmedicines.
- All our clinical teams are focused on delivering personalized care and our Pharmacists play a key role in treating patients with empathy and compassion
- You will provide advice and support to consultants nurses and other clinicians ensuring the safe appropriate and cost-effective use of medicines throughout the hospital
- Build strong working relationships with colleagues and consultants and to work together to improve patient outcomes
- Suggest new processes/new equipment to improve health outcomes and increase safety throughout the hospital
Who were looking for:
- Pharmacists educated to degree level (Diploma desirable)
- Current GPhC registration
- Post qualifying experience working in a Hospital setting is ESSENTIAL
- Highlyspecialistknowledgethroughadiploma inclinicalpharmacy and/or acquiredthroughtrainingandexperience particularly in the fieldof oncology.
- Someone who is looking for the challenge of delivering a comprehensive pharmacy service within a hospital setting
- Excellent communicator as you will interact with patients across various departments to find out their pharmaceutical requirements
- Non-medical prescribing would be advantageous
Contract Type:Permanent
Hours: Full-time 37.5 hours per week Monday-Friday 8:30-17:30 Sat 8:30-13:00. On call one week in Four.
