Office Manager

A successful Secondary School in Milton Keynes is seeking an experienced and highly organised Office Manager to lead its administrative team on a full-time permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced school environment and takes pride in delivering an efficient welcoming and professional administrative service. The successful candidate will oversee the daily running of the school office while supporting the Senior Leadership Team teaching staff students parents and external visitors.

Working closely with the Headteacher and School Business Manager you will manage the administration team coordinate reception services oversee admissions processes maintain pupil records and ensure school communications are handled professionally and efficiently. You will also manage office procedures organise meetings prepare reports maintain confidential records and support HR and finance administration where required.

The role includes reviewing administrative systems to improve efficiency ensuring compliance with safeguarding and GDPR requirements coordinating educational visits and supporting the organisation of school events throughout the academic year.

You will also provide guidance and support to administrative staff ensuring a consistently high standard of customer service while maintaining effective working relationships across the school community.

The successful candidate will possess excellent leadership skills outstanding organisational abilities and the confidence to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

Requirements
  • Previous Office Manager or Senior Administrator experience

  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

  • High level of IT proficiency

  • Previous school administration experience desirable

  • Ability to manage competing priorities effectively

  • Professional approachable and proactive manner
