Nurse Manager CYP Surgical Permanent Full time Spire Shawfair Park Hospital Edinburgh
Spire Shawfair Park is now recruiting a Nurse Manager to lead their CYP Department.
Spire Shawfair Park Hospital is a modern purpose-built private hospital located in south-east Edinburgh. Duties and responsibilities
- To lead provision of exemplary planned care for patients aged from birth to 16 years
- Lead specialist in all clinical areas providing specialist education and audit.
- To ensure the teams delivery of effective care by providing excellent clinical and managerial leadership.
- Develops a working environment and culture that actively improves health safety security and safeguards the welfare of children and young persons
- Develop and improve services
- Improve quality
- Support and enable equality diversity and rights.
- Lead others in the development of knowledge ideas and work practices.
- Delegate work to others.
- Determine the effective use of efficient use of physical and financial resources.
- Undertake Human Resource activities for all members of the team.
- Plan monitor and quality assure the application of technology for measurement monitoring and treatment.
Who were looking for
- Be NMC registered Nurse with a Childrens qualification - your pin should not have anyrestrictions or conditions
- Experience of working at clinical leadership/management levelwithin a paediatric department.
- Have the ability to create and maintain relationships with a variety of clinical and non-clinical staff
- Flexibility is essential for this opportunityto supportthe needs of the growing servicecovering inpatients and outpatients
- It would be desirable to have phlebotomy and paediatric ILS or be willing to complete a a university course
- Ability to plan and prioritise care for patients with good time management skills.
- A surgical background is highly desirable.
- Appropriate proven leadership and management experience.
- Theability to manage change enthusiastically whilst assisting to lead manageand developthe CYP service
