Nursery Practitioner Level 2 or Level 3

Term Time Only Level 2 from 13.20 per hour Level 3 from 13.50 per hour Part Time

This welcoming nursery provides a secure stimulating environment where children are encouraged to explore both their surroundings and the natural world. Outdoor experiences form an important part of everyday learning with opportunities for children to grow plants and vegetables experiment with water mud and sand and discover the world around them through hands-on play.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Level 2 or Level 3 Nursery Practitioner looking for a term-time position with shorter daytime hours. Youll join a supportive early years team helping to create meaningful learning experiences while encouraging childrens confidence curiosity and independence.

What Were Looking For

  • Full and relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification.
  • Previous experience within a nursery or early years environment.
  • Good understanding of the EYFS framework.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection requirements.
  • Enthusiasm for outdoor nature-based and play-led learning.
  • A caring and patient approach to supporting young children.
  • Confidence encouraging childrens independence and curiosity.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Your Role

  • Provide high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS.
  • Create engaging activities based around childrens individual interests and developmental needs.
  • Encourage children to explore nature and learn through practical hands-on experiences.
  • Support activities including planting and growing vegetables water exploration sand and messy play.
  • Make effective use of the outdoor environment to extend childrens learning.
  • Support childrens confidence independence and social development.
  • Observe childrens progress and contribute to their individual learning journeys.
  • Build positive relationships with children families and colleagues.
  • Maintain a safe secure and stimulating environment throughout the day.
  • Follow safeguarding health and safety and nursery policies at all times.
