Nursery Manager

35000 - 40000

40 hours per week spread over 5 days

You will be leading an established nursery and preschool rated Good by Ofsted providing care and early education for children aged 3 months to 5 years. Based in a spacious converted house the setting has a homely baby and toddler room alongside a dedicated preschool space with a purpose-built sensory outdoor area supporting learning through play.

As Nursery Manager you will take responsibility for the overall running of the setting leading the team and maintaining high standards of care education and safeguarding. The role would suit an experienced Deputy Manager ready to step into nursery management or an established Nursery Manager.

What Youll Need

  • Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification
  • At least Deputy Nursery Manager experience or previous Nursery Manager experience
  • Strong working knowledge of the EYFS and early years practice
  • Confident leading and supporting a nursery team
  • Clear understanding of safeguarding and nursery compliance responsibilities
  • Strong communication and organisational skills

What Youll Do

  • Lead the day-to-day operation of the nursery and preschool
  • Manage and support the nursery team maintaining consistent standards of practice
  • Ensure the setting provides high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS
  • Oversee safeguarding health and safety and nursery compliance requirements
  • Build positive working relationships with parents colleagues and other professionals
  • Monitor the quality of provision and support improvements across the setting
  • Maintain a safe well-organised environment where childrens wellbeing and development remain central
