This is a key leadership role within a large wellestablished home of over 100 residents. The home currently provides residential and dementia care and is now commissioning a new inhouse nursing service. Around a quarter of residents already have FNC applications in place with nursing needs currently supported by District Nurses. Youll lead the transition to a fully integrated nursing service ensuring safe practice strong clinical oversight and a steady personcentred culture from day one.
Its a Monday-Friday position with Duty Manager rota cover for 1:5 weekends suited to a nurse who brings calm authority clinical confidence and the ability to guide a busy team through change.
Youll bring clinical leadership and a clear understanding of what good nursing care looks like in a large home. Youll oversee assessments moveins and ongoing care planning making sure every residents needs are understood documented and reviewed. Youll set expectations for safe practice support the nursing and care teams and maintain high standards across medication management governance audits and compliance.
Youll work closely with colleagues across the home to create a warm supportive environment where residents feel safe and families feel reassured. Youll also be a visible point of contact for concerns safeguarding and professional liaison.

Professional handling of safeguarding concerns and complaints
Consistent personcentred practice across the home
Registered Nurse (RGN) with current NMC registration (essential)
Proven experience leading a nursing service in a care home of 50 beds
Strong clinical judgement and confidence in decisionmaking
Organised steady and able to prioritise well in a busy environment
Compassionate approachable and comfortable supporting families and professionals
Solid understanding of CQC requirements and safe practice
Knowledge of FNC and CHC processes
ITliterate and confident with care planning systems

Up to 58000 basic salary
