NHS Co-Ordinator/Spire Nottingham/Tollerton/4 Month Fixed Term Contract/Part Time 22.5 Hours

Spire Nottingham Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a NHS Co-Ordinator to join the team on a 4 month Fixed Term Contract.

Duties and responsibilities:

The post holder is required to work with the Capacity and Utilisation Manager to ensure all NHSadministrative processes within the hospital are maintained effectively through strict compliance to Spireprocedures. The post holder will work closely with the Senior Management Team Clinical Leads andSenior Nurses to monitor KPIs for elements of the patient pathway concerning access and monitorquality of inpatient/daycase/outpatient treatments.

  • To action ongoing NHS contract requirements liaising with key departments as appropriate
  • To actively work through total open pathways for all NHS patients ensuring the 18-week breach
    is adhered to.
  • To ensure weekly meeting attendance and actions worked through appropriately
  • To act as a hospital contact and to be responsible for the internal administrative processes
    regarding all NHS activity.
  • To monitor and administer the patient journey throughout. Ensuring missing outcomes for all
    consultant led activity in outpatients are update updating various spreadsheet trackers daily
    and generally ensuring all patients are being treated within their allocated time frames.
  • To deal with patient appointment queries effectively and change/discharge when necessary
    following any investigation work.
  • To be responsible and ensure reporting and compliance of key required information
  • Ensure team focus on relevant targets within the team.
  • To monitor NHS patient clinics ensuring slot allocation is available for patient choice as agreed
    with consultants.
  • Liaise and communicate with all other departments across the hospital and hub at all stages of
    the patient journey to prevent any errors.
  • Using email and telephone calls to communicate with other hospitals GP surgeries and medical
    secretaries where necessary
  • Develop effective working practices with the Capacity Managers to communicate clinic analysis
    and promote collaborate working to maximise clinic capacity identifying any areas of
    inefficiency.
  • Responsible for actively monitoring RTT targets flagging any potential breaches which may
    impact on patient care in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with the trusts and update RTT position and pathways
  • Liaise with patients to agree TCI OPA to prevent breaches and track their pathways.

Who were looking for:

  • NVQ Level 3 in administration or InformationTechnology and/or equivalent experience
  • Evidence of ongoing personal development
  • Good standard of secondary education withdemonstrable literacy and numeracy skills
  • Management/supervisoryqualification
  • Track record of successful delivery in a similarrole.
  • Experience of working with data and information
  • Experience of producing and working withcomputer-based systems to track and recordinformation
  • Experience of working as part of multi-disciplinaryteam
  • Advanced software skills including MicrosoftOffice packages and excellent speed/accuracylevel of keyboard skills.
  • Understanding and experience using hospitalsystems including SAP and other patient datasystems.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
