NDT Technician Multi Disciplined I
Job Summary
As an NDT Technician you will be responsible for conducting non-destructive testing and inspections ensuring the reliability and safety of client assets. Your work will directly support Oceaneerings commitment to operational excellence and client satisfaction. You will work closely with our team and clients to deliver high-quality services adhering to industry standards and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections using various techniques such as ultrasonic radiographic magnetic particle and liquid penetrant testing.
- Interpret test results and provide accurate reports to clients ensuring compliance with industry codes and client requirements.
- Maintain and calibrate NDT equipment to ensure accurate and reliable testing.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to identify potential issues and recommend solutions for asset integrity.
- Conduct on-site inspections at client facilities ensuring a safe and professional work environment.
- Document inspection findings and maintain detailed records for quality control and traceability.
- Stay updated with industry advancements and best practices in NDT techniques and technologies.
- Provide training and guidance to junior technicians fostering a culture of knowledge sharing.
- Ensure compliance with health safety and environmental regulations during inspections.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent with a preference for an associates or bachelors degree in a relevant field (e.g. NDT engineering).
- PCN/SNT Level 2 UT 3.1 & 3.2 or working towards the qualification within 6 months of the assignment
- PCN/SNT Level 2 Liquid Penetrant
- PCN/SNT Level 2 Magnetic Particle
- L1 / 2 Radiography and RPS - or working towards the qualification within 6 months of the assignment
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in NDT inspections preferably in the energy or industrial sectors.
- Good working knowledge of industry codes and standards (e.g. ASME API ASTM).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using NDT equipment and software for data analysis.
- Willingness to travel and work on-site as required by client needs.
- Valid drivers license and ability to obtain necessary security clearances.
- Physical ability to perform inspections in various environments including confined spaces.
