Job Summary
3-month contract position with a local authority
Summary
- This is a 3-month contract position with a local authority aimed at delivering high-quality Childrens Social Care services. The role focuses on safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable children and young people contributing to improved outcomes. The position involves managing a complex caseload delivering effective social work interventions and ensuring compliance with legislation policy and best practice standards while upholding the reputation of the Council and Department.
Responsibilities
- Manage a complex and varied caseload with appropriate supervision and support.
- Undertake statutory social work duties in line with relevant legislation and policies.
- Carry out assessments develop care plans and ensure regular reviews are completed.
- Deliver protective and supportive services to children in need at risk or looked after.
Essential Experience
- Experience managing complex caseloads within Childrens Social Care.
- Experience working within statutory frameworks and safeguarding processes.
- Experience preparing reports and attending court proceedings.
Essential Qualifications
- Qualified Social Worker (Degree/Diploma in Social Work or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Evidence of continuous professional development.
Additional Information
- Working hours: 36 hours per week 9-5:30 Mon-Fri.
- Location: Trinity Road Bootle Merseyside L20 3NJ United Kingdom.
- DBS Required.
- Interviews will be held at Magdalen House Bootle or via Microsoft Teams upon request.
- We operate on a bi-weekly schedule.
