In this full-time role you will deliver high-quality Music lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 with opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 A-Level or Vocational Music modules for suitably qualified candidates. Candidate Requirements

• Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE in Secondary Music alongside an undergraduate degree in Music Music Performance Musicology or a related discipline.

• Teaching Mastery: Strong subject knowledge with a proven ability to deliver engaging high-impact practical and theoretical lessons aligned with GCSE exam board specifications (AQA/Edexcel/OCR/Eduqas).

• Classroom Management: Outstanding organizational and classroom management skills fostering a collaborative creative and respectful learning environment.

• Co-Curricular Contribution: Enthusiasm for leading extra-curricular ensembles choirs bands and orchestrating school concerts productions and musical showcases.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver dynamic Music lessons across KS3 and KS4 (and KS5 where applicable) covering performance composition listening and appraisal.

• Guide students in using music technology software (e.g. Logic Pro Sibelius GarageBand) for creative composition and arrangement tasks.

• Regularly assess student work track performance progress and provide constructive feedback to raise academic outcomes.

• Direct departmental extra-curricular initiatives including instrument tuition programs choir school bands and seasonal musical performances.
