We are seeking a passionate enthusiastic and dedicated Music Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Basingstoke starting as soon as possible.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic Music specialist who can deliver engaging and inspiring lessons across the secondary age range. You will have a genuine passion for music education and the ability to encourage students of all abilities to develop their confidence creativity and musical skills.

The role will involve:

• Planning and delivering engaging Music lessons across KS3 and KS4.

• Teaching a broad range of musical styles genres and topics incorporating both practical and theoretical elements.

• Preparing students for GCSE Music and supporting them to achieve strong academic and practical outcomes.

• Developing students skills in composition performance listening and music theory.

• Contributing to the development of the Music curriculum and creating high-quality teaching and learning resources.

• Supporting and encouraging extracurricular opportunities such as ensembles choirs bands concerts and music clubs.

• Monitoring student progress providing effective feedback and adapting teaching to meet individual learning needs.

• Working collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to a positive and inclusive school environment.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching Music within a secondary school setting.

• Has strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging practical and theoretical Music lessons.

• Is confident teaching students across KS3 and ideally KS4 GCSE Music.

• Has excellent classroom management skills and can create a positive supportive and inclusive learning environment.

• Is passionate about developing students musical ability confidence and creativity.

• Communicates professionally and effectively with students parents colleagues and external partners.

• Has a positive flexible approach and enjoys working collaboratively as part of a dedicated Music department.
