Job Summary
Location: Stafford ST16 3UB
Pay Rate: 14.42 per hour PAYE plus overtime paid at x1.5
Hours: Monday to Friday 7:30am 4:00pm (40 hours per week)
Contract: Temporary (3 months) with the opportunity to become permanent
Start Date: Immediate start available
We are currently recruiting for a Multiskilled Technician to join a leading engineering and manufacturing operation based in Stafford.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified engineer looking for a long-term opportunity with the potential to secure a permanent position after an initial three-month temporary assignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on plant and equipment
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs using appropriate tools and techniques
- Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Assist with the installation modification and upgrade of plant equipment
- Accurately document maintenance activities and report any issues promptly
- Follow all health safety and site procedures at all times
- Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to maximise operational efficiency
- Support both planned and reactive maintenance activities as required
Essential Requirements
- Qualified engineer with either an electrical or mechanical qualification
- Previous experience working within a maintenance manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent understanding of health and safety procedures
