Job Overview

Working alongside the senior site team you will take ownership of reactive repairs planned maintenance tasks compliance testing and general porterage across the academy grounds. This position rewards practical problem-solvers who take pride in a job well done.

Key Responsibilities

• Trade-Level Maintenance: Carry out skilled minor repairs across carpentry plumbing painting and basic electrical fixtures (e.g. changing lamps and sockets).

• Statutory Compliance: Execute and document routine weekly safety checks including fire alarm testing water flushing and emergency light checks.

• Security & Access Duties: Open and secure academy gates and buildings manage keys and respond to site security needs.

• Event Set-Up: Prepare large spaces by arranging seating staging and audio-visual equipment for school events parents evenings and exams.

• Site Upkeep & Waste Management: Monitor external grounds clear pathways manage waste disposal and maintain clean outdoor zones.

• Contractor Oversight: Assist and monitor external service engineers and contractors on-site to ensure compliance with school regulations.
