Werelooking forskilledMulti-Trade Operative to join our dedicated Empty Homes Repairs TeaminNorthHampshire.Based out ofourBasingstoke officeyoullbe working across NorthHampshire and surrounding areas. This is a full time permanent role working39 hoursper weekdelivering high-qualityrepairs and maintenance worksacross our social housing also participatein the emergency on-call rotaasrequired.

Heres the facts about the role:
As a multi-tradeoperative in our Empty Homes teamyoullcarry out a variety of repairs to ourempty/void specialist skillsexpertiseand initiativeto carry out your job to a all jobs making sure theyre completed right first role will involve some light admin duties and the use of an electronic handheld device.

While youll predominantly be working in void properties youll be required to work in occupied homes as and when the business requires so strong customer experience skills are needed for the role.

Key Responsibilitieswill include:

Deliveringmulti-trade tasks such as:

• Carpentry-doors skirting architraves locks windows kitchen units
• Plumbing-tap replacements unblocking sinks WC repairs leak detection
• Plastering & Making Good-patch repairs to walls and ceilings
• Tiling & Decorating-restoring finishes to a high standard
• General Maintenance-fencing gates flooring minor roofing external repairs
  
• Use handheld devices to manage job tickets and update progress
• Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation and building regulations
• Maintain professional communication withcustomersand colleagues
• Manage van stock tools and materials effectively
• Participate in emergency call-out rota whenrequired

The multi-trade operative will be qualified to City & Guilds NVQ level 2/3orequivalent in a trade discipline(wellalso take your experience into consideration).Youllhaveproven experience inamulti-trade or general maintenancerole and be competentin at least two coretrades(e.g. plumbing carpentry plastering painting).Applicants must have demonstrable experience in UPVC repairs and installation alongside competent carpentry skills as part of a multi-trade maintenance role.

Youllhave strong customer service skillsand experience working in occupied homes with to safety and safeguarding policies is essential.

A full clean current driving licence (held for at least 1 year) is needed so you can drive one of our vans when necessary. Offers are subject to satisfactory driving licence checks and DBScheck.
