Job Summary
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across corporate estate buildings.
- Complete repairs across a range of trades including carpentry plumbing plastering and general building maintenance.
- Undertake daily weekly and monthly compliance checks.
- Support fire alarm testing emergency response and facilities management activities.
- Conduct on-site risk assessments and identify health and safety concerns.
- Facilitate contractor access and monitor works on site.
- Assist with office moves and building support activities.
- Use mobile technology to receive manage and update work orders.
- Carry out quality inspections and ensure compliance standards are met.
- Work safely in occupied and unoccupied buildings.
- Maintain tools equipment vehicles and materials.
- Support emergency and out-of-hours works when required.
- Level 3 NVQ City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in a core trade such as:
- Carpentry
- Plumbing
- Plastering
- Electrical
- Building Maintenance
- Experience working in building maintenance repairs or facilities management.
- Multi-trade repair experience.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation and safe working practices.
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
- Good IT skills including the use of tablets and mobile technology.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- CSCS Card or Health & Safety qualification.
- Fire Marshal qualification.
- First Aid qualification.
- Asbestos Awareness training.
- Experience working within Local Authority or public sector environments.
- Experience of lone working.
- 16.68 per hour (Umbrella)
- 4 Month Contract
