Job Role & Key Responsibilities:

We are currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with an Electrical Bias to join an established engineering team within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role will focus on keeping production and packaging equipment running efficiently through reactive maintenance PPM and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out electrical and mechanical fault finding and repairs.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimise production downtime.
  • Complete planned preventative maintenance PPM.
  • Work with control panels inverters and electrical systems.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot production and packaging machinery.
  • Carry out basic mechanical maintenance on pumps motors gearboxes bearings and conveyors.
  • Support continuous improvement and site reliability initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider engineering and production teams.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

  • Strong electrical fault-finding experience within a UK manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams.
  • Experience working with inverters and control panels.
  • Strong reactive maintenance and breakdown response experience.
  • Basic mechanical maintenance knowledge.
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent engineering qualification.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced high-volume production environment.
  • A positive proactive and hands-on approach.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Desirable Skills:

  • Food manufacturing or FMCG experience.
  • Multi-skilled maintenance experience.
  • Strong mechanical fault-finding capability.
  • Experience within packaging or automated/high-speed manufacturing environments.
