The Vacancy
Would you like to be part of our Estates Service Team At Chime Housing we take pride in the care of our estates to create safe friendly environments for our residents to live in - youcouldmake a difference to peoples lives.
Introduction to therole
You would be responsible for looking after your estates working outside most of the time to ensure that the external areas of various flat blocks are kept to a good standard to includeorganisationremoval reporting of bulk waste repairs cleanliness of land we own that would include open spaces bin stores drying and parking areas.
The role will be working on your own initiative after full training has been given and also a team for projects that need it.
You will have support from your line managerduring your daily tasks and be expected toassistother teams within theorganisationfor instance working with communities on open days.
Rolepurpose
As part of our Estates team you will use your skills to help us deliver high-qualityestatesservices to our communities. The right candidate will need the ability to use their initiative to carry out daily tasks in a safe and efficient manner taking personal responsibility for delivering an excellent service to our effectively and proactively with colleagues tomaintainhigh standards.

Key Accountabilities:

Ensure a high standard of customer service

Take personal responsibility for the areas you look after

Be able to communicate with our residents whilst carrying out your duties

Report any concerns that may be raised with you to the relevant team members

Work with colleagues from the Estates and other teams when the need arises
Whatarewelookingfor
You will be customer focused with the ability to interact empathetically with a wide variety of people. You will understand the importance of health and safety matters on our estates.
Essential:
-
Have had some experience of working in an estates or caretaking role
-
Be able to work alone and as part of a team
-
Hold a full current driving licence
-
You will need tomaintaina satisfactory basic DBS check
-
Be able to drive work vehicles of various makes and sizes
-
Knowledge of Microsoft Office including emails
-
To be able to confidently use a mobile phone and various applications
-
Ability to problem solve whist on your estates
-
To be able to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
