About Us

G4S Oakhill Secure Training Centre (STC) cares for children aged 12 to 18 years old who have been remanded or sentenced to periods of detention. The children in our care can be vulnerable and challenging with a wide range of complex social and emotional needs. This is an environment that calls for high standards of social care and service delivery to provide a secure and stable environment for children to develop their life skills and address their previous behaviours. About the Role

Oakhill STC is a fast paced complex and challenging environment and as such thesuccessful candidate needs to be resilient innovative and passionate and workcollaboratively.

We are looking for two MMPR Coordinators to join our MMPR Team at Oakhill SecureTraining Centre. You will be required to oversee the safe and effective delivery andcontinued implementation of MMPR within the secure establishment.

Some of the key responsibilities of this role are:

• Daily Quality Assurance of all incidents including the use of direct observationCCTV footage and body worn camera footage.
• Collate and prepare all information necessary for the Restraint MinimisationMeeting and to present each incident to the multi-disciplinary panel.
• Deliver MMPR training directly to operational staff including roll out refresherand ITC training covering the physical techniques medical advice and aspects ofbehaviour management and de-escalation techniques.
• To complete and review individual staff learning outcomes/plans to completeupskills with staff on site and continuously assess staff competency levelsidentify trends and implement action plans for the MMPR team to outreach tostaff following this.
• To complete and review all Restraint Handling Plans and communicate thesewith staff.
• Monitor the application of restraint holds during incidents of force being applied tochildren and coach staff.
• To know and follow the reporting process of Serious Injury and Warning Signincidents and be responsible for recommendations from the MMPR NationalTeam following their review of the incidents.
• Knowledge and understanding of the Oakhill STC Behaviour ManagementStrategy and Enhanced Support Services model driving the principles forwardthrough training and staff coaching.
• To lead on planned interventions use of handcuffs and managing complex casesin conjunction with other departments in relation to MMPR and behaviourmanagement.
• A thorough understanding of local safeguarding policies and procedures andknowledge of the Child Protection referral process and our interaction withexternal parties such as LADO.
• All staff employed by G4S has the responsibility for their own Health & Safety andto their colleagues in order to assist G4S in its obligation to achieve British SafetyCouncil Requirements at all times.

About you

You will have excellent communication and organisational skills and able to collate andanalyse data. You will have a can do attitude along with an attention to detail. You will workcollaboratively and openly whilst being a key member of the team.

As an experienced Co-Ordinator it is essential that you have experience of working within a multifunctional and demanding environment. You will be a dynamic and engaging individual with a good sense of humour who shares our ethics and values and is eager to support theDepartments successful delivery.
