Job Summary
The Governors of Horns Mill Primary school are seeking a reliable and caring Midday Assistant to support pupils during the lunchtime period within the school hall. The role involves supervising children as they eat ensuring their safety wellbeing and positive behaviour at all times.
Duties include preparing the hall for lunch by putting out tables chairs and water jugs assisting younger children with carrying trays safely and helping to cut up food where needed. You will encourage good table manners and work alongside teaching staff to manage behaviour effectively.
Additional responsibilities include sweeping the floor helping children clear their plates when finished and supporting the kitchen team by ensuring plates cutlery and equipment are cleaned and ready for the next day.
At the end of lunchtime you will help clear and put away tables and ensure the hall is left tidy and ready for further use. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a school where senior leaders are keen to support the new member of our team as they begin working at Horns Mill.
