Melt Team Leader

Job Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Melt Supervisor the Team Leader is responsible for the supervision of production on site ensuring a safe working environment and satisfying all customer demands.
Role Responsibilities:
This role entails but is not limited to:-
Guarantee a safe working environment
Ensure all production processes conform to current quality standards
Manufacture parts in time to satisfy customer demand
Strive to improve production processes
Facilitate root cause analysis of non-conforming production and implement corrective actions
Daily organisation of Melt Operators
Complete performance reviews to improve team performance and flexibility
Monitor team performance via KPIs and OEE
Maintain metal chemistry as per specification
Training of new employees as required
Experience of Disciplinaries and Investigations
Experience in PDRs PIPs and Absence management
Promote the companies HSE policies across the department and plant and adhere to all Health and Safety environmental requirements
EXPERIENCE :
Essential
Proven Production team leader experience
Experience of problem solving
Use of 5S to improve production environment
Proven melt and casting experience
Good working knowledge of Microsoft (Excel Word etc.)
Use of KPIs to track performance
Desirable
Experience within castings sector
IOSH Qualification
