About the Role

We are looking for a Mechanical Technician to join our Wireline team in Kintore.

In this hands-on role you will assemble test and support the delivery of industry-leading K-Winch products including wireline winches masts and associated equipment used by customers around the world. Working as part of a close-knit production team you will help ensure products are built safely efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

What Youll Do

  • Assemble and test wireline winches masts and associated equipment in line with NOV standards and procedures
  • Read interpret and follow engineering drawings blueprints specifications and bills of materials
  • Manufacture and assemble hydraulic systems while maintaining required cleanliness standards
  • Monitor materials and components to identify defects or faults
  • Ensure product quality while maintaining required levels of output
  • Support operational goals including on-time delivery and schedule attainment
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and the introduction of new techniques and products
  • Proactively identify and communicate issues that may impact assembly activities or delivery timelines
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a safe efficient and productive working environment
  • Support operational requirements including reasonable overtime when required

What Youll Bring

Essential

  • Time-served apprenticeship
  • NC qualification in a relevant discipline
  • Background within a mechanical trade or mechanical engineering environment
  • Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
  • Understanding of hydraulic schematics

Desirable

  • HNC or equivalent higher qualification in a relevant subject
  • Experience within an assembly or manufacturing environment
  • Forklift and/or overhead crane certification
