Mechanical or Electrical Engineer (Building Services) Cambridge

An SME building services firm known for its exceptionally high staff retention is looking to appoint a Mechanical or Electrical Engineer to join their team based in Cambridge.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a few years experience to work across a varied portfolio of building services projects playing a hands-on role in design and delivery within a close-knit supportive team environment where people tend to stay for the long term.

The Role:

• Producing mechanical or electrical designs across a range of building services projects
• Preparing detailed designs calculations and specifications
• Working closely with project managers senior engineers and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification
• Coordinating with architects and other disciplines to ensure fully integrated designs
• Ensuring designs comply with current building regulations and industry standards

Whats Required:

• A degree in Mechanical Electrical or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent)
• 3 years experience in a building services design role
• Strong working knowledge of relevant design software (e.g. Revit AutoCAD)
• Chartered status (or working towards e.g. CIBSE/IET) would be an advantage
• Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
