We are now hiring for aMechanical Fitter (Factory Based)to join the team inDumfries Scotland.

Ensure safe compliant and efficient operation of plant equipment and systems through both reactive and proactive maintenance activities

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform both reactive and planned maintenance tasks across site facilities prioritising safety and regulatory compliance.
• Service and maintain a diverse range of mechanical plant equipment and process machinery.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical breakdowns on all plant and process equipment minimising downtime and ensuring continuous operations.
• Collaborate effectively within a team environment promoting safety compliance and best practices in mechanical maintenance.
• Proactively identify and report safety or operational issues to line management to maintain a safe working environment at all times.
• Occasionally support wider team activities during planned production changeovers or scheduled outages which may occur outside normal working hours.

Person Specification:

• Proven experience working with manufacturing process plant equipment
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems process pipework and air-handling equipment.
• Experienced individual who enjoys a structured working week standard 37.5 hours with flexibility to work occasional overtime when required

• Commensurate with experience - Hourly Rate

We are renowned for our repair and maintenance service offering providing a range of on- and off-site services including maintenance service programmes fitting work around shutdown windows and quieter periods to minimise disruption to the clients operations.

We work with clients to provide bespoke design solutions with a team of highly qualified and experienced engineers working from an extensive site including a fabrication shop metalwork milling lathe roller and compressor equipment. Our business is approved for welding and specialises in fabricating steelwork tanks vessels pipework and machinery.

Our services include engineering design and solutions fabrication machining milling turning and grinding and using computer-aided design (CAD) 2D drawing and 3D modelling. We work with clients to understand requirements and to solve problems offering appropriate solutions
