Role Overview

A vibrant and high-achieving secondary school in Birmingham is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Maths Teacher to join their energetic Mathematics Department ASAP. The school is committed to fostering numerical confidence logical reasoning and academic success across all key stages. You will plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE Mathematics) with opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 (A Level Mathematics / Further Maths) depending on experience. Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver creative rigorous and structured Mathematics lessons across KS3 KS4 and KS5.

• Prepare pupils effectively for national GCSE and A Level examinations through targeted revision fluency practice and problem-solving strategies.

• Monitor student progress using regular formative and summative assessments delivering targeted interventions to close attainment gaps.

• Maintain a positive focused classroom environment that encourages mathematical curiosity and high standards of achievement.

• Contribute to departmental extra-curricular enrichment including UKMT Maths Challenges numeracy clubs and revision clinics.

Key Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Mathematics Statistics Engineering Physics or a closely related discipline.

• Recognized UK teaching qualification with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or QTLS.

• Proven ability to teach secondary Mathematics effectively across key stages.

• Strong subject knowledge excellent classroom management and adaptive teaching skills.

• Legal right to work in the UK.
