In this full-time role you will deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 with opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 A-Level modules for suitably qualified candidates. You will join a supportive faculty focused on building numerical confidence problem-solving skills and deep conceptual understanding across algebra geometry and statistics.

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE in Secondary Mathematics alongside an undergraduate degree in Mathematics Statistics Engineering or a related quantitative discipline.

  • Teaching Mastery: Strong subject knowledge with a proven ability to deliver engaging high-impact lessons aligned with GCSE exam board specifications (Edexcel/AQA/OCR).

  • Classroom Management: Outstanding organizational and classroom management skills fostering a focused analytical and supportive learning environment.

  • Student Attainment: Experience in tracking pupil progress evaluating diagnostic assessment data and running targeted revision workshops to raise exam outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver dynamic Mathematics lessons across KS3 and KS4 (and KS5 where applicable).

  • Teach key mathematical concepts problem-solving strategies and exam techniques to prepare pupils effectively for GCSE assessments.

  • Regularly mark work conduct diagnostic assessments and provide constructive feedback to accelerate student progress.

  • Contribute to departmental schemes of work shared planning and extra-curricular STEM clubs or maths challenge competitions.
