About the Role

The successful candidate will teach Mathematics across Key Stage 3 Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 delivering engaging and challenging lessons that develop students confidence reasoning and problem-solving skills.

Students follow a broad and ambitious curriculum covering algebra geometry statistics probability mechanics and calculus. You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Mathematics examinations while encouraging resilience logical thinking and a genuine enthusiasm for the subject.

You will also contribute to the wider life of the department through intervention programmes maths clubs enrichment activities UK Mathematics Trust competitions and STEM initiatives that promote mathematical thinking beyond the classroom.

Candidate Requirements

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level

  • Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently

  • Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills

Desirable

  • Experience teaching A-Level or Further Mathematics

  • Experience supporting maths competitions or enrichment programmes

  • Ability to stretch and challenge students of all abilities

  • A proven track record of delivering excellent student outcomes
