A college in Newcastle is looking to appoint a dedicated Maths Teacher to join its team on a permanent basis starting as soon as possible.

This is a great opportunity for a teacher who enjoys working with older students and wants to play an important role in helping learners develop the mathematical knowledge and confidence they need for further study employment and their next steps.

You will be responsible for teaching Maths across the college with a particular focus on post-16 learners.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering engaging Maths lessons

• Teaching GCSE and/or A-Level Maths depending on experience

• Supporting students with different levels of prior attainment

• Assessing and tracking student progress

• Preparing learners for examinations

• Contributing to curriculum planning and development

• Providing support and guidance to students

• Working collaboratively with the wider Maths team

The college is looking for a qualified and enthusiastic Maths Teacher with strong subject knowledge and experience teaching secondary or post-16 students.

Experience teaching A-Level Maths would be highly desirable particularly for candidates looking to build their career within the college sector.

Youll need excellent classroom management strong communication skills and the ability to motivate students to achieve their potential.
