A high-performing secondary school in Carlisle is seeking to appoint a Maths Teacher to join its department from September. This is a full-time role within an ambitious and supportive school that values academic achievement strong subject knowledge and excellent student outcomes.

Mathematics is a core subject within the school with students encouraged to develop confidence in problem-solving reasoning and analytical thinking across all key stages.

You will teach Mathematics across Key Stage 3 Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 delivering engaging and well-structured lessons that support students of varying abilities.

The role includes preparing students for GCSE and A-Level Mathematics examinations with a strong emphasis on mathematical fluency reasoning and exam preparation.

You will support learners across a range of abilities while stretching higher-attaining students through challenge and enrichment opportunities.

You will work collaboratively within a successful Maths department to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.

• Teach Mathematics across KS3 KS4 and KS5

• Deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons

• Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Mathematics examinations

• Assess student work and provide clear and constructive feedback

• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records

• Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development

• Support intervention and mathematical enrichment activities

• Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and engagement

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level

• Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently

• Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics

• Strong classroom management and communication skills

Desirable

• Experience teaching A-Level Mathematics

• Experience preparing students for GCSE and A-Level examinations

• Ability to contribute to enrichment or intervention programmes
