We are seeking an enthusiastic knowledgeable and committed Maths Teacher to join a highly successful and oversubscribed grammar school in Bristol. The successful candidate will teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3 4 and 5 delivering engaging and challenging lessons that develop students mathematical understanding problem-solving skills logical thinking and confidence. The Role

As a Maths Teacher you will plan deliver and assess high-quality lessons that challenge students and support excellent academic progress. You will use assessment effectively to identify areas for development adapt teaching strategies and inspire students to achieve their full potential.

You will encourage students to develop mathematical fluency confidence and resilience while exploring problem-solving reasoning and real-world applications of mathematics. The role will also involve contributing to enrichment opportunities maths initiatives and the wider life of the school.

Key Responsibilities

Plan deliver and assess engaging Mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 4 and 5
Develop students understanding of mathematical concepts reasoning and problem-solving skills
Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and inform future planning
Differentiate teaching to support and challenge learners of all abilities
Create a positive ambitious and inclusive classroom environment
Encourage curiosity resilience independence and confidence in mathematics
Develop students analytical thinking and ability to apply mathematical knowledge
Contribute to departmental planning curriculum development and improvement initiatives
Support enrichment activities including maths clubs competitions and STEM opportunities
Encourage students progression pathways including further education careers and STEM-related fields

The Ideal Candidate

The successful applicant will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be an Early Career Teacher completing training
Have experience teaching Mathematics at KS3 and KS4 with KS5 experience desirable
Be passionate about Mathematics and able to inspire high-achieving students
Have excellent subject knowledge and a commitment to academic excellence
Possess strong classroom management and communication skills
Be reflective organised and committed to continuous professional development
Have a positive collaborative approach to working with colleagues
