Maths Teacher Role in a Faith School

A highly respected Faith School in Cambridge is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented Maths Teacher to join its successful Mathematics department from September. About the Role

The successful candidate will teach Mathematics across Key Stage 3 Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 delivering engaging and challenging lessons that inspire students to develop confidence resilience and a deep understanding of mathematical concepts.

Students study a broad curriculum covering algebra geometry statistics probability calculus and advanced mathematical reasoning. You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Mathematics examinations while encouraging logical thinking problem-solving and independent learning.

You will also contribute to the wider life of the department through maths clubs UKMT competitions intervention programmes enrichment activities and opportunities that challenge students to explore mathematics beyond the classroom.


Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Mathematics across KS3 KS4 and KS5

  • Deliver engaging well-planned and differentiated lessons

  • Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Mathematics examinations

  • Develop students reasoning analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Assess progress and provide high-quality constructive feedback

  • Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development

  • Support maths enrichment intervention and extracurricular activities

  • Foster confidence resilience and enthusiasm for mathematics

Candidate Requirements

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level

  • Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently

  • Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills

Desirable

  • Experience teaching A-Level or Further Mathematics

  • Experience supporting maths competitions or enrichment activities

  • Ability to stretch and challenge students of all abilities

  • A proven track record of delivering excellent student outcomes
