About the Role

The successful candidate will teach Mathematics across Key Stage 3 Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 delivering engaging and challenging lessons that develop students mathematical reasoning confidence and problem-solving abilities.

Students follow a rigorous curriculum covering algebra geometry statistics probability mechanics and calculus. You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Mathematics examinations while inspiring them to think critically and develop a genuine enthusiasm for the subject.

You will also contribute to the wider life of the department through maths clubs UK Mathematics Trust competitions intervention programmes enrichment activities and university preparation sessions.

Candidate Requirements

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level

  • Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently

  • Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills

Desirable

  • Experience teaching A-Level or Further Mathematics

  • Experience supporting maths competitions or enrichment programmes

  • Ability to stretch and challenge high-attaining students
