Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Maths Teacher to join a successful secondary school in Chelmsford from September. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about Mathematics and enjoys creating engaging lessons that challenge students and encourage them to achieve their full potential.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Mathematics across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 with the opportunity to contribute to the wider Mathematics curriculum and extracurricular activities. The school has high expectations of both staff and students and is committed to providing a supportive environment where teachers can develop professionally.

You will join a well-established Mathematics department consisting of experienced and dedicated teaching staff. The department works collaboratively and benefits from strong leadership well-developed schemes of work and high-quality teaching resources.

• Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons across KS3 and KS4.

• Prepare students effectively for GCSE Mathematics examinations.

• Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of students with varying abilities.

• Monitor and assess pupil progress regularly.

• Provide constructive feedback to students to support academic improvement.

• Establish positive relationships with students and maintain high expectations.

• Maintain effective classroom and behaviour management.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Mathematics department.

• Contribute to departmental planning meetings and school activities.

• Support students who require additional intervention or academic support.

• Maintain accurate records of assessment and student progress.

• Qualified Mathematics Teacher with the ability to teach KS3 and KS4.

• QTS PGCE or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

• Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics.

• Experience teaching within a secondary school environment is desirable.

• ECTs and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply.

• Overseas-trained teachers with recognised qualifications are welcome.

• Legal right to work in the UK.
